HESI Sports Consulting (“HESI”) operates HESI Scout, a basketball athlete profile and scouting platform. This policy describes what information we collect and how we use it.

2. Information We Collect

• Athlete profile data: name, position, height, country, school or team, graduation year, career stage, highlight film links, game film links, photos, biographical notes, and scouting context submitted by athletes, guardians, or admins.
• Account information: email address and authentication data managed through our identity provider.
• Scouting submissions: scouting notes, evaluations, and contact requests submitted by scouts or coaches through the platform.
• Event and competition data: box scores, event results, and player statistics sourced from official event providers and displayed on athlete and event pages.
• Usage analytics: aggregate, non-identifying analytics about page views and engagement to improve the platform.

3. How We Use Information

• To publish verified athlete profiles and event leaderboards.
• To connect athletes with scouting and exposure opportunities.
• To process contact requests from scouts, coaches, and organizations.
• To maintain platform integrity and prevent abuse.
• To improve discovery, rankings, and user experience.

4. Athlete Media & Film

Athletes (or their guardians) who upload highlight reels, game film, or photos acknowledge that this media will be displayed on their public profile and in discovery surfaces for the purpose of athletic exposure and scouting. Media remains owned by the uploader. Removal requests can be sent to the contact address in Section 8.

5. Minors

HESI Scout profiles may include athletes under 18. Profiles for minors should be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. Guardians may request edits or removal of a minor’s profile at any time by contacting us.

6. Data Sharing

Public profile information is visible to all visitors. Scouting submissions and contact requests are shared with the relevant athlete or guardian. Aggregate, non-identifying analytics may be used to improve the platform.

7. Data Retention

We retain information you provide for as long as necessary to operate the platform. Specific retention periods will be documented in a future revision of this policy. You may request removal of your profile or data at any time by contacting us.
